John Farley

CEO

John Farley has more than 40 years of experience in the construction industry. Through his experience, John has filled many positions on projects both in-house and on-site. John began Contract Construction, Inc. in 1984, and has established financial stability and steady growth. Through his experience, John has initiated the procurement and provided leadership during construction of virtually all of the nearly 200 projects in the history of Contract Construction. John is involved with critical aspects of every project including the selection of the project team, scheduling assistance, quality management and site requirements review to insure a good start out of the ground. John is a graduate of Clemson University with a BS in Civil Engineering, Cum Laude. John resides on the lake in Chapin, SC, with his wife Myra. They are the parents of two adult children, Kyle and Meredith.

Greg Hughes

President

Greg Hughes began his career as Project Manager at Contract Construction. As a result of his committed service to the company, he has become a partner in the firm and serves as President. Greg is experienced in all types of construction from private, public, performing arts and sports facilities. His strengths include budgeting, value engineering, coordination and scheduling within confines defined by the Owner. Greg was appointed by Mick Zais to the School Facilities Committee in 2011 (3-year term) and served as Chairman of the Design and Construction Manual Revision Sub-Committee. He serves on an eight-member panel with the State Engineer to review procurement and performance of the Special Inspection Agencies that oversee public facilities construction, and is past President of the Building Division of Carolinas AGC. Greg is a graduate of the University South Carolina Honors College, BS in Accounting with Honors. Greg resides in Columbia with his wife, Stefanie and their children, Kate and Davis.

Kyle Farley

Project Manager

Kyle Farley joined the Contract Construction Inc.’s team in May 2010. Prior to his employment with CCI, Kyle worked in the marine and heavy civil construction industry from January 2006 to May 2010. Kyle has been involved with a variety of marine construction projects ranging from several bridges, to the foundation for a new LNG tank and major upgrades for the port system of Georgia. Kyle has gained practical experience with job site safety, material management, team management, scheduling, and design. Kyle has served as Project Manager during the construction of AAAA high school athletic facility in Lexington, an award-winning 6-story parking garage in downtown Columbia, and is managing the Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) of a $20M school facility in Berkeley County, SC. Kyle graduated from Clemson University with an MS and BS Civil Engineering and is a Registered Professional Engineer in South Carolina and Georgia. Kyle resides in Chapin with his wife, Marlena and their twin sons, Tillman and Bryson.

Tara Tindal

Accounting Manager

Tara Tindal has more than 12 years of experience in the Construction Industry and 13 years in her Accounting Career. She graduated Midlands Technical College with High Honors in Business Administration, became a member of Phi Theta Kappa, Honor Society and is currently attending Columbia College in pursuit of her Bachelors in Accounting.  She began her career with Contract Construction in 2014 as an Accounting Administrator. Tara is now responsible for weekly check runs, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Job Costs and General Ledgers. You could say construction is in her blood as well since most of her family including her step-father, two brothers and her oldest son all work in the construction industry. She has served on the Board of the Columbia Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC). Tara resides in Columbia with her two sons, Nicholas and Parker.

Misty Drafts

Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, HR Manager, Payroll

Misty Drafts began her career with Contract Construction in 2005 as the Superintendents’ secretary in the field and worked her way up to office secretary, and then performing Human Resources, Payroll and Accounts Receivable tasks. Misty is now responsible for generating the firm’s weekly payroll, HR Management and processing all Accounts Payable. You could say construction is in her blood since most of her family including her husband, father, brothers, uncles, nephew, and cousins all work in the construction industry. She was recently inducted as a new member into the Columbia Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC). Misty resides in Gilbert with her husband, Ryan and their son, Tyler.

Susan Cody Clary, CIT

Marketing Director / Pre-construction Coordinator

Susan Clary, a native of Chicago, IL., has a career path that has lead her from manufacturing to engineering and finally into the construction arena where she has worked for the past 9 years. Susan is responsible for Pre-construction Coordination and Marketing. Her professional affiliations include Allied Member of AIASC, NAHB Certified Green Professional, Notary Public, Leadership Orangeburg County Alumna, and is the incoming Vice President for the Columbia Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) for the 2016-2017 fiscal year. She earned an Associate of Applied Science in Computer Technology. Susan is the mother of twin sons, Tyler and Keith and daughter, Samantha. She resides on the lake in Chapin with her husband, Doug.

Robyn Byrd

Construction Coordinator

Robyn Byrd joined the firm in 2012 and has worked closely with the Project Management and Key Field Staff since that time. Responsibilities include preparing and tracking all subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders,  and coordinating the corresponding paperwork from the main office to our key personnel on the jobsite. Robyn also works closely with subcontractors to insure they are in compliance with our safety and insurance requirements and to coordinate the timely execution of contract documents, bonds and other relevant agreements. As an integral part of our project team, Robyn prepares close out manuals including all warranty documents and operations & maintenance information. Other duties include obtaining plans, specification and geotechnical reports from architect/engineers and processing, preparing and coordinating the distribution of these documents for use by Estimators, Project Managers and Subcontractors.  Robyn resides in Lexington with her daughter, Olivia.
