Lexington School District 3 officials, school administrators, community leaders and project managers commemorated the start of improvements at Batesburg-Leesville High School with a groundbreaking ceremony today. As part of the $65 million bond that voters approved last November, many new expansion projects are underway. This includes a 36,000 SF Career and Technology Education wing that will be built with Contract Construction serving as Construction Manager. The new CATE center will aid the school’s efforts to continue providing students with realistic training for jobs following graduation or post-secondary education. The building will accommodate technology/engineering programs, healthcare sciences, robotics, and the school’s advanced trade facilities.
