Contract Construction was honored to join Ridge View High School administrators and Richland School District Two officials for the ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday in honor of the completion of their new football stadium. The new stadium was made possible by the passage of the $468 million Pathways to Premier Facilities bond referendum that voters passed in November 2018.
“We are building more equitable learning spaces and athletic facilities in Richland Two. We want every student in the district to be proud of their school facilities and we want our facilities to be the best representation of Richland Two as possible,” said Superintendent Dr. Baron R. Davis.
The project included the construction of a new competition-sized stadium, a 110′ long carpeted and air conditioned press box with separate home and visitor platforms, a new athletic field house, a new gymnasium entrance, and a stand-alone weight room. Additional structures included separate home and visitor concessions and restrooms, and separate ticket booth stations.
The Blazers will host the Westwood High School Redhwaks at the stadium at 7:30 on Friday. During half-time school leaders will hold another ceremony that will include alumni. The game will be televised on WACH-FOX 57 as their Sonic Friday Night Rivals Game of the Week.
