#ProjectUpdate: Gray Collegiate Academy's Campus W #ProjectUpdate: Gray Collegiate Academy's Campus Wide Facility Expansion is making incredible strides! Contract Construction has been spearheading this transformative project since 2021, and the progress is nothing short of remarkable. Here's what's been achieved so far: Phase One brought to life a 30,000 sq ft, 1,500 seat gymnasium, a hub for athletic student activity. This impressive space houses varsity girls' and boys' locker rooms, visiting locker rooms, essential facilities like laundry and storage rooms, coach's offices, conference rooms, and a state-of-the-art training area. Not stopping there, the gym's design includes a spacious lobby that cleverly doubles as a school café, accommodating 350 students during the school day. The versatile concession area seamlessly transforms into a bustling kitchen when needed. Phase One also marked the addition of a 9,000 sq ft academic wing, designed to elevate the learning environment. Featuring three cutting-edge science labs equipped with teacher prep rooms, specialized science lab setups, and demonstration desks, this expansion also boasts three general classrooms, an administration office, and student facilities. Phase Two took this vision further by crafting an expansive athletic complex at the Southwest end of the site. This complex includes a football/soccer stadium, softball/baseball fields, an impressive press box, essential facilities like restrooms and concessions, and stadium lighting that illuminates the field for unforgettable moments. The dedication and craftsmanship poured into Gray Collegiate Academy's expansion reflect our commitment to creating spaces that inspire excellence in education and athletic achievement. Phase 1 saw us breathe new life into a 23,575 square foot former retail space within Sumter Mall. We transformed the space to house Administration areas, a cafeteria, small group spaces, and dedicated classrooms for grades 2, 3, and 4, all while ensuring there's an inviting outdoor playground. Phase 2 takes this vision further with a 5,400 SF addition, introducing 6 more classrooms to expand the possibilities for learning and growth. We're thrilled to contribute to the creation of a nurturing environment where education meets innovation. It's exciting to envision a remarkable 122,000 square foot elementary school taking shape here soon! ✅ Grading is completed, making way for the future school. ✅ The building pad is set and ready for action. ✅ Retaining wall? Done and backfilled! ✅ Currently laying the groundwork with underground utilities—water and sewer installations are underway. Alongside the elementary school, we're also gearing up to construct a top-notch softball stadium and practice fields for J.L. Mann High School.
