Contract Construction is providing Construction Management at Risk services to Richland School District Two for a three-year phased replacement of the existing E.L. Wright Middle School and Center For Knowledge while students remain on campus. Despite the challenges of building on an occupied site, the new 170,000 SF design will result in a more unified and compact campus. CCI will first build the middle school, move the students into it, tear down the existing middle school, build the new Center for Knowledge, tear down the existing Center for Knowledge, then finish the Sitework, parking, fields, etc. Early Site work began September 14 to include grading of existing football field with demolition of 600 building this winter. Substantial construction will begin in early 2021.
